The Dedication of St. Andrew Catholic Church
Sumner, Washington ~ August 29, 1999
Bagpipes welcome everyone to the church. Father Tom Belleque, Pastor of St. Andrew Church, leads the procession after an invocation. Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
John 20:21 Archbishop Alexander J. Brunett's Blessing The Altar soaked and overflowing with Chrism from the consecration, reflecting the crucifix. After the dedication Mass is over, Archbishop Brunett receives thanks from the parishioners.
The weather is typical of the Northwest. These words spoken by Our Lord are over the glass doors entering the sanctuary. The Baptismal font can be seen with the Easter Candle and Eucharistic Gifts. The elevated portion behind the candle houses the font for holy water, and holders for the three sacred oils. Waiting inside the Gathering Space for Archbishop Alexander Brunett to begin the ceremony. He is to be the first in the Church.
